Yes, when the existing frame, working space, control system and safety concept can support the ultrasonic process. The actual installation should be reviewed before the mechanical design is finalized.
Yes. Multiple actuators can be arranged to operate simultaneously or in sequence. In some projects, fewer heads complete a larger weld through indexed cycles. Head spacing, generator configuration, tooling, machine rigidity and process timing are designed around the actual product.
UWS is generally a strong starting point for high-cycle and multi-head automation, while UWA is useful where installation space is restricted. A purpose-built actuator may be more suitable when the process requires a different stroke, motion path, orientation, tooling arrangement or control sequence.
